LEGO® TECHNIC Exhibition
Almost 800 LEGO sets (or maybe more by now…) , about half a million bricks in one place.
I invite you to see the LEGO® Technic themed exhibition
If your child or you ☺ are interested in mechanics, especially vehicles that not only look good on the shelf, but are challenging in their own right and can be played with and contain various technical solutions, then this exhibition and series is also for you.
In the showcases you will see almost 800 LEGO sets, about half a million bricks in one place.
Why so many? From where? How?
Given what can be seen here on the ground, the invitation should begin with the words:
"My name is Peter and I am AFOL" ☺
This exhibition was created out of a sincere passion for building. What you will see in the exhibition is the result of collecting and building for almost 20 years. I like structures that work, so my main interest, and over time the only one with LEGO®, became the Technic series.
I’ve been thinking about opening such a place for a long time, and finally the models have accumulated well over seven hundred. And new ones keep coming, because LEGO®, my own head and the Internet keep me busy ☺ Why so many? Because the series is now over 40 years old, because if I liked the B version, I wanted to have both, because I also included my own constructions or models I was inspired by on the Internet. So, it will soon be a complete Technic series and a lot more….
You will see practically all the sets in this series. If something is missing, it’s only because the limited space at home didn’t allow me to build everything at once. But the exhibition should allow me to present the entire series, so the models will be successively more and more all the time. The „military” section will also be expanded.
And if you’re as old as I am and played with LEGO® Technic as a child, you’ll see your toys from years ago on display. Who knows, maybe yours are now lying somewhere in the depths of garages, attics or pavilions? I encourage you to check it out, because it could be an opportunity to dust off your memories of super fun and pass the baton to the next generation.
You will also see my first set I got 44 years ago. I still have it to this day. It is the only set in the entire exhibition that is not from the Technic series.
With only 22 blocks my adventure began, which continues to this day....
You will be able to see, of course, sets from the 1970s and how the blocks have changed over almost 50 years. The first sets look quite coarse by today’s models, consisting of 4,000 parts, remote-controlled, with pneumatic actuators, electric motors, etc. etc.
Since some themes have been taken up many times by LEGO® over that time, such as the helicopter and the mobile crane, you will be able to see side by side the 1977 crane, the 1990s crane and the current models. Believe it, there is a difference…
When presenting the models, I try to explain how the solutions used in the bricks reflect the mechanisms known from everyday life. In addition to the history of the series itself, I also want to introduce all visitors to the principles of operation of various mechanisms that are part of machines and vehicles. Such as you know from everyday life, but you are not always aware of the way they work.
An example? The gearbox!
You will be able to see not only how this series has changed over the years and what it is today. In addition to models from boxes, there will be MOC constructions, because big and small Technicians are limited only by their imagination. You will find here something not only for the lover of four wheels. There is no shortage of sundry commercial machines, aircrafts, submarines, helicopters, motorcycles or space vehicles.
I invite you to watch a fascinating tour through 40 years of creative fun. If, after viewing the exhibition, I encourage any of you to assemble, or even better, experiment with your own constructions, then the task I set myself in creating this exhibition will have been fulfilled.
I believe that building blocks can be a source of incredible fun. For children the joy of creating, then experimenting with more complex constructions, and for adults a real passion and a great break from everyday life.

AFOL
The exhibition is designed for older children,
6 to 99 years old.
You are also welcome to visit our store with professional advice and a selection of new and older LEGO® Technic sets.
AFOL – an acronym for the first letters of the English term „Adult Fan Of Lego”. The term is used to refer to adults, fascinated by blocks. They have plenty of sites for themselves on the Internet, where they can present their constructions, exchange ideas, buy/sell blocks or, for example, sell instructions for the constructions they invented themselves. Fans refer to models of their own invention (not prepared by LEGO®) as „MOC,” from the English words „My Own Creation.” AFOLs can have a specific specialty, such as Star Wars, architecture, trains or… Technic ☺
