I invite you to visit a place that has been a dream of mine for the past few years. Models, boxes, manuals, old catalogues, posters and everything about the LEGO® Technic series I have accumulated over the past dozen years or so, so much that I thought it was worth sharing the story with others. But there was always something more important along the way….
Since September, I have devoted myself 100% to this exhibition. I went through old catalogues, visited a lot of websites dedicated to LEGO® sets such as brickset.com, looking for detailed information, but also trying to verify information in several places. While studying the descriptions of the complex mechanisms used in the models, I have learned the mechanical issues so that I can convey them while taking you round the exhibition. Until a few days ago, I didn’t know what Ackerman’s compensation was… I believe that each model should be, even briefly, described in a way that gives you the best idea of it.
I am cataloguing, checking… There are still a lot of models to assemble, because the amount of space in my house did not allow me before to assemble everything at the same time.
Even just figuring out what belongs to the Technic series and what does not, it turns out, is not a simple thing, and there are endless discussions on the forums dedicated to this topic. In the end I had to decide myself.
When I have managed to put the final touches on everything you will be a welcome Guest. I am curious about your impressions and your opinions of the place. I will be happy to read them and I promise to take them into account.
After all, as Ole Kirk Christiansen, founder of the LEGO® Company used to say: „Only the best is good enough.” Yes, I would like it to be the best LEGO® Technic themed exhibition. Because only then will it be good enough.
